Keith Dorsett: General Manager

  • When Dorsett left the Island as a teenager, it was a track scholarship that brought him to Northern Iowa University.
  • As the only male in his Fashion Merchandising class, there was no issue when it came to his interest and perspective. Dorsett was influenced by his upbringing in the Bahamas, and created a plan that not only impressed his peers, but his professor.

Richard Shallbetter: Sr. Haberdasher

Richard L. Shallbetter has worked with Heimie’s Haberdashery since October 2013 as a personal stylist, custom clothier, wedding consultant and social media representative. As a musician and a student of metaphysics, he views color combinations, layers of visual texture, and garment selection through the same lens as harmonious relationships including as note intervals, polyrhythms, and instrumentation. These corresponding patterns- as reflections of the same principles cross nature- serve to inspire Shallbetter’s approach to fashion: harmony, resonance, polarity, the microcosm and macrocosm expressed in their appropriate symmetries to produce a balanced, yet dynamic outfit.
