A Heimie’s man loves a good suit. It’s just a plain and simple fact that a good suit makes you feel better about yourself, as well as make you look better. There are rules, though, to selecting the right suit for you though, just like shirts. When it comes to suits there is a massive range of fabric, cut, and style; and if you happen to be new to wearing suits, buying a suit may feel overwhelming. When you’re preparing to purchase a new suit, ask yourself similar questions as you would if you were purchasing any other core article of clothing.
- Do I know my size?
- Do I want a ready to wear or custom suit?
- Do I want a classic cut suit or a European cut suit
- Do I need a suit that is more conservative, or one that is more trendy?
- Do I know what colors compliment my color palette?

Style Tips:
- Stripes compliment taller gentleman.
- Wear a spread collar shirt with a double breasted suit, as it keeps up with the natural symmetry and lines created by the garment.
- If you have larger, more athletic thighs consider wearing pleated trousers. If your thighs are more thin, flat front trousers would compliment your form very well.
- A cuff on your trousers is nearly always a safe route, and adds a nice horizontal line to the garment.
- A pocket square adds a wonderful splash of color to any suit, and draws more attention to the wearers face.
- Always match your socks to your trousers, and not to your shoe. This rule can be broken in the case of jovial clothing (baby blue knit pullover vest, baby blue sock).
